That's exciting! Too bad we don't get any TV stations at our house...

It was a pretty good segment, as far as the biased new media is willing to portray Christians...that said, however, maybe, just maybe, with a lot of prayers, the segment might just get more people to see the film, and it could just save some of the marriages that ore on the rocks, as well as possibly bring more people to a relationship with Jesus Christ.

I think Nighline did and excellent job with their story on the movie Fireproof and the Christian movie industry. They were thorough and fair, which is not often the case.

May God continue to bring this film into the hands of those who need to see it. Christian films are needed... I'd prefer to see more than "two a year" as the Samuel Goldwyn representative suggested... If we keep telling them what we do and don't want to see, things will change in theaters. Go Fireproof!

I loved the report about Fireproof and Christian Films on ABC's Nightline. God bless you for what you're doing for the Kimgdom of God through movies - keep it up. May God have the glory for it all. Keep dumbfounding Hollywood with great clean films!

ABC was quite pleasant and complimentary, while remaining secular and factual. Fireproof changed me and many others forever. These movies will help save our beloved America from moral destruction that I believe to be worse than terrorism.

Timing is everything. Obama says we are not a Christian Nation. I think this says we are. People are searching. ABC seemed to only scratch the surface of the fine christian films out there. I wish they would have given more information to people to where to find Christian films or mentioned some of them such as "Facing the Giants", "Flywheel", "Timechanger" or the many others. It makes me smile to see God get some Glory:)

It was awesome! This movie is amazing and the actual dare itself I feel everyone should dare to do. I finished day40 of the dare and looked back in amazement. God is awesome! It can also be applied to other relationships to but marriage is most important. Keep up the awesome work! I can't wait for the next movie...don't make us wait so long! ;->

It was a great feature story. I was really inspired by the numerous clips from the movie and also by the personal interviews with the Kendricks, Cameron, Gavin McLeod, and Rich Christiano (Secrets of Jonathan Sperry). God bless all of their efforts and the ones to come!

I watched this report via the internet since I missed it last night. Though the reporters continue to use a disbelieving tone of voice, they did a nice job of shining the light on films through which Jesus is shining His light. Fireproof may have been a surprise to Hollywood, but its message of forgiveness and redemption is no surprise to those who know the Word. It is a blessing to see this message promoted on the big screen.

My husband and I were amazed to see ABC report on the impact of Christian movies, especially Fireproof which focuses on marriage and the importance of preserving it, as well as how God's love can make all the difference in our lives. It is inspiring to see so many others working hard to counteract the negative messages that Hollywood has presented for far too long. There is hope that our country can turn around. Praise God!

I LOVED THE WAY IT WAS PRESENTED, THE PRODUCERS OF FIREPROOF WERE VERY FIRM ON THE PERSPECTIVE GOD GAVE THEM, AND THEY DID LEAVE GODS NAME OUT OF THE CONVERSATION AND ABOVE ALL I LOVED KIRK'S ANSWEAR ABOUT HOW HE FELT ABOUT HOLLYWOOD NOW...PRAISE GOD!!!

THANK YOU

I hate that I missed the Nightline show - will it ever be re-aired or is it on YouTube or anything?

Also, I'd like to include the video clip of the film score recording session (from the April 18, 2008 post to this blog) on a blog I'm doing for the university where the composer graduated from - could I get permission to do that, and could I get the original file?

I just watched on the ABCnews web site. Though the reporters continue to use a disbelieving tone of voice the report looked good. I twas GREAT seeing Kirk and the Kendrick brothers insist that this was God's plan, God's message, and God's guidance that resulted in the movie. Talk about dumbfounding Hollywood!!

I am pleased to see the main stream media giving "Fire Proof" the attention the movie properly deserves. There are a whole bunch of us who wish to see Inspirational stories on how the Bible and God help us through life's tribulations. The success of "Fire Proof" proves we are a large, and very under served
Group.

I was pleasantly surprised by how positive the story was. It's sad how much we prepare to be shocked and disappointed by the slant the "unbiased" media puts on things. However, this time I thought they were very fair.

My congratulations for all the staff of Fireproof, the movie! My husband and I watched this movie, and also Facing the Giants and Flywheel, and we loved them all! It is so interesting that even non-Christians are liking these movies. I live in Fortaleza, a city of Brazil (South America), and Fireproof is in the Top 10 list of the store where I take DVDs to watch. I believe that God is using these movies to reach hearts for Christ! I'd like to suggest that the Church in Sherwood could pray about a movie directed to the single people. In my church I see single adults struggling with their loneliness, while they could accomplish too many things! I believe the Christian community should not pressure the singles to get married. We must tell them the truth: God could plan their lives to be alone and they might be very happy in this situation. Please, think about it!

Love in Christ,

I was happy to see the segment on Nightline. I saw it after the fact on the ABC website. The reporter's disbelieving tone of voice annoyed me a bit, but this IS secular TV!.. And, I am happy to say my husband and I FINALLY watched Fireproof tonight. We both enjoyed and were moved by it. And, the gospel message was presented very well. Now, I'm waiting to get my copy of "The Love Dare" in the mail. And, I continue to wait on the Holy Spirit to draw my husband to the LORD.

Thank you to Jinx McHue for posting the link to the ABC website so I could watch the clip! We don't have a TV, so I appreciated the chance to see it. I agree it was well done, and I did not know about the Johnathan Sperry movie until now. I will be making every effort to see that movie as well. I still LOVE Fireproof, and can't wait for your next film!!!!!!!!!!

An interesting article.

Personally, I was a bit miffed. While it gave this project a milder tone than their average fair, they kept hammering at the money aspect. (not too surprising given that's what the world is mostly interested in) But it also made it sound that Fireproof was made to fill a "nitch" in the industry that Hollywood is otherwise "missing out on"; which was exemplified in the closing comments as a summary.

All in all it was still delivered in a negative cast that stretched to convey "See? they aren't any different than us". With a hint of "they're going to take over".

Oh well. At least it got some serious exposure and more lives will be impacted. My nephew was totally convicted and became a believer through this film! (Praise God!!) I loved the humor that was tossed in here and there as well as the drama.
