Ever notice how men and women don’t always see (and deal with) the same situation in the same manner? Apparently, we are not alone in that observation! Just check out the His & Hers section of the FIREPROOF website.
There you’ll find a great scene from FIREPROOF that shows just how differently a man and a woman can look at the exact same situation. As Caleb talks with his friend Michael about his failing marriage, Catherine is commiserating about the same issue with her friends. While “He Said/She Said” provides you with a dose of the humor you’ll find throughout the movie, it also opens the door to the serious, real-life issues Caleb and Catherine are dealing with.
Another element on the website is a 10-question Couples Quiz that was created by Life Innovations. Answering the questions provides you with a quick snapshot of your relationship and it can be done on your own or simultaneously with your spouse.
The His & Hers section also has a great video from Mark Gungor, who leads the Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage ministry. Be sure to let us know what you think of Mark’s take on men and women in his Tale of Two Brains clip.
We’ll be adding more to the His & Hers section later on. In addition, we’ll soon have an entire website (www.FireproofMyMarriage.com) dedicated to providing relationship resources and tools—for both men and women!

Looking and Sounding Good
We’re pointing you back to the FIREPROOF website today so you can check out a couple of things—simultaneously! (Please note: in no way is the Blog advocating multitasking.)
Anyway, be sure to check out the photo gallery. Featuring outstanding images taken by Todd Stone and Hayley Catt from the set and from behind the scenes, this is your window into the look and feel of FIREPROOF. We will be updating the photos on a regular basis, so we’ll let you know when new images are added.
As you’re looking, you might be wondering what song is playing in the background. The instrumental loop comes from a new song by Warren Barfield called “Love is Not a Fight.” The song’s beautiful lyrics fit naturally with the story of FIREPROOF.
In the coming weeks, we’ll fill you in on a little bit more of the connection between Warren and the movie, but for now, you can visit Warren Barfield’s website to hear the whole song.

Getting the Word Out
Earlier this week, a team from Sherwood Pictures and Provident Films attended the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Nashville. They brought along clips from FIREPROOF, which they used to introduce a number of radio and television broadcasters to the third movie from Sherwood.
“There was a lot of excitement from everyone that saw clips,” says Kris Fuhr, Provident’s vice president for theatrical marketing. “We had a lot of great discussions with ministries that are planning to use the message of this movie to impact lives of their listeners and viewers.”
While most of the broadcasters were seeing clips for the first time, a handful of media outlets were in Albany for parts of the filming of FIREPROOF, including a team from CBN. Chris Carpenter, the program director for CBN.com has a great story about Sherwood online. In it, Chris writes:
“However, there is something quite different going on this day in a sleepy, bucolic neighborhood on the edge of town. The streets have been buzzing since dawn, a frenzy of bright lights, movie cameras, and more action than people will see on this street for months. It is the set for a new movie called FIREPROOF.”
The Blog will continue pointing you to other great stories about FIREPROOF in the coming weeks.
