"Blown Away"

The FIREPROOF team spent much of last week in Indianapolis, hosting screenings during the SBC Annual Meeting. Two screenings were held in the main convention hall, including one for people who arrived early for the pastors’ conference. A third screening, sponsored by LifeWay, was held at a local theater.

Nearly 8,000 leaders saw the film, and from all indications, they were quite moved. There was laughing, crying, more laughing, more crying, and lots of cheering at the end. But don’t take our word for it. Read what DeWayne Towe from New Life Christian Center in Danville, Illinois says:

“I laughed, cried, clapped, and sat on the edge of my seat throughout this movie. All of my expectations, built from the first post on your production blog to now, were highly exceeded! I knew from the trailer that it was going to be something very special, but I was blown away at the message, the production quality, the acting, and the WOW factor that I saw on the screen.

“I know that this is going to have a tremendous impact on lives all over this nation and the world. I have a wonderful marriage, but I even took things from the movie that I can apply to my marriage to make it better.”

In a little more than three months—September 26 to be exact—you will have the opportunity to bring people to the theater with you to experience FIREPROOF!

What are you most excited about?

I'm most excited about seeing what other folks are going to do or say. I'm in a marriage that I feel will never crumble, but the world around us is ripe for this kind of marriage-is-important movie.

I've seen the impact from previous Sherwood Pictures productions. I believe this film will have a major impact as long as it's given a fair shake in the movie theaters.

Having a film that actually promotes healing a marriage instead of simply dissolving and walking away goes completely against the norm of today. I know I'm working hard to promote the movie in our market.

Jeff & I were married for 10 yrs, divorced for 7, and reconciled 9 yrs ago. We are very excited about this movie!! We have a marriage ministry here in Dallas called Hope Matters MArriage Ministries....Our main purpose is helping couples see God's plan for marriage and not to think divorce is the answer, We have a book published by WaterBrook Press/Random House called "I DO AGAIN".... available on Amazon. We can't wait to support this movie and tell all we know about it!

We're so excited to see what this movie will do to mend marriages. I also would personally like to say thank you for your suppoer of the firefighter profession. My husband puts his life on the line at every shift and it's about time someone reached out to them and recognized what they do. There was a little recognition after 9/11 but then it faded. Thank you.

I am one of those 8000 that viewed this film in Indianapolis. I am a pastor in NC and was asked by the state paper editor to write a review.

You can see that review by visiting here or . I am blown away by the WOW factor. I look forward to leading my church into renting out the theater for one of the showings. Keep up the great work.

I STILL put my shoes next to hers when she goes to bed. Its dumb, but seeing them close to one another gives me a sense of comfort. I never say anything. ANd the next morning, hers are always gone.....
My wife was my EVERYTHING. I was just too self absorbed to realize it. Now that I need a MIRACLE to ever hold her beautiful hand again, I know that NOTHING means more to me. But I know that, at this point, I mean NOTHING to her. Its funny, I ALWAYS thought the last thing I would ever see when I close my eyes for the last time was her pretty, pretty face. It made me pretty much not afraid of death, knowing that it was gonna be only a matter of time before I saw her again. Now, death scares me. You see I will probably loose her in this life, and who knows, for eternity as well.....

I am looking forward to seeing this movie, I am looking forward to believing in something again.
