Ready for a great story? Here is one that Janell submitted at FireprooftheMovie.com:
“My husband is in the US Navy and has been involved in some things that sidetracked him from our marriage. I watched the movie while he was deployed, and once he got into port, I asked him to watch it. He watched it last night and called me to tell me that he finally understood what I was going through, and that he is sorry. He told me he wasn't living up to the core values of the Navy. He also admitted to an addiction to pornography, and he wants to get help. PRAISE THE LORD! This movie and series, along with another book, have truly saved our marriage. I was the one wanting out, but God has worked in mysterious ways around the world by finding my hubby on a sub in the middle of the ocean and helping him to go back to Christ. Thank you very much for helping us to rebuild our marriage on the Rock.”

That's a great story! It's amazing to see Fireproof impacting people's lives.
That is awesome!! Thanks for sharing!
I am currently going through a seperation. My husband and I have been married for 7 years and he wants a divorce after long periods of drifting away and times where we've done things that hurt eachother. I don't want a divorce! But he is closed off to any consideration of staying together. Now that he's living at his moms I had her rent several movies hoping that he will get bored and watch this one. He is a firefighter so lets hope he does! I haven't watched it yet. I am affraid that if I do I will want to save my marriage even more and be more heartbroken if he doesn't. I honestly feel like I'm dying inside. He is headed down a bad path....searching for girls...smoking cigarrets again...etc. I think that no matter what the problems are...that there is help out there to truly fix them and teach us the skills we NEED to make eachother happy. I dont want to give up on our lives together for me and our 2 year old daughter. I sure hope he sees this and it helps.
I'm so glad you shared your story and have worked it out. It gives me a glimpse of hope even when it feels like a black cloud is hanging over my marriage!
WOW! How wonderful. I just finished watching the movie... it's 12:47 am TEXAS time right now and this movie really touched my heart. I think all married couples and all couples about to get married should watch this movie.
Jill I am going through the same exact situation as you. It's been seven years also and he is out searching for girls and going out with the guys and it's very unlike him. He is this new found man and not the one I married. Friends say it is to avoid thinking of our upcoming divorce but I am not sure. He has given up on us and we are already living in seperate places. *his choice*
I don't want a divorce and watched fireproof today. I was in tears and completely decided that I want to fight for him. Unfortunately, he doesn't feel the same as I do. I am going to have faith in God that he brings some light to my dark situation. I hope the same goes for you.
