Getting the Word Out

Earlier this week, a team from Sherwood Pictures and Provident Films attended the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Nashville. They brought along clips from FIREPROOF, which they used to introduce a number of radio and television broadcasters to the third movie from Sherwood.

“There was a lot of excitement from everyone that saw clips,” says Kris Fuhr, Provident’s vice president for theatrical marketing. “We had a lot of great discussions with ministries that are planning to use the message of this movie to impact lives of their listeners and viewers.”

While most of the broadcasters were seeing clips for the first time, a handful of media outlets were in Albany for parts of the filming of FIREPROOF, including a team from CBN. Chris Carpenter, the program director for CBN.com has a great story about Sherwood online. In it, Chris writes:

“However, there is something quite different going on this day in a sleepy, bucolic neighborhood on the edge of town. The streets have been buzzing since dawn, a frenzy of bright lights, movie cameras, and more action than people will see on this street for months. It is the set for a new movie called FIREPROOF.”
The Blog will continue pointing you to other great stories about FIREPROOF in the coming weeks.

I thought the trailer to the movie was awsome. I saw it via www.fishwithtrish.com. I want to thank you for creating such an important and helpful movie that will touch the lives of married couples around the world, and those who are engaged too.

Second, I am overwhelmingly glad that Gary Smalley is associated with the movie. He is by far the best marriage counselor I have ever encountered and he is in the Christian field. His materials from "Love is a decision" was so helpful to me and I know his small group and indiviual materials and seminars will be of help to many who come to this movie and hear of his resources for married couples.

May God continue to bless your christian movies. Also, we are also glad to see Kirk Cameron in this one. May his association with the wayofthemaster.com ministry continue to train people in the biblical gospel to rescue souls as fire fighters for the Lord with the Word of God so many will escape the flames of Hell.

I was listening to WBSB Christian Radio in New Orleans while they had family life broadcasting their show. I was doing whatever and heard the sound clip of Kirk Cameron yelling, " I"m tired of this...." Wow, it completely got my attention. I can completely sympathize. I have a best friend who became my boyfriend and he yells all the time, things like that. I'm disrespectful, I'm this, I'm that. I don't remember breathing easy around him anymore. I'm supposed to move at the end of the month and that day can't come soon enough. I would like to think that people can change because Christ is in us. I'm really looking forward to your movie's release to theaters. I know it's going to be a message that needs to be heard. My generation (I'm 24)is full of men who respond like, God who? and how does He pertain to this? And women who have no idea to wait on God. God really has his hand on you. You all will be in my prayers. I'm stoke to hear of people stepping out and making a difference. This city needs to hear and see a difference. You will be in my prayers. God Bless.
