... And the Award Goes To ...

On the weekend Hollywood handed out its biggest awards, NPR had an interesting story on its home page: Christian films! While focusing on the recent Christian film festival in San Antonio, Texas, the story highlights the impact that FIREPROOF has had on the industry.

Of course, the assumption of the reporter is that the NPR audience has no idea what FIREPROOF is:

“If you don’t believe us, take this quiz: What was the biggest grossing independent film in 2008? No, not Slumdog Millionaire. Not Milk. It was a movie you’ve probably never heard of.”

The story includes quotes from Kirk Cameron and Stephen Kendrick, along with Ben Howard, the head of Provident Films. Read the story and let us know what you think.

We just gave a copy of the movie and the Love Dare book to someone who is facing divorce. This person is not a believer but want to save the marriage. Please pray that God will use this movie and book to save them and their marriage as he has done for so many already.

Wow! What an incredible article. It's amazing that they used the clip with the Gospel presentation in it. It is so powerful. The Lord is even using groups like the NPR to get His message out.

That article's tone was interesting. It was not bashing Christian films, but praising them!

My family was surprised to see that Kirk Cameron worked for free. What a great testimony and ministry he and that church have-- to make national news!

I am a Clinical Psychologist, a Christian, and not yet married. I want to thank every single person who made this movie possible, because it is profound, touching and to be open with you, I found myself crying during several parts of it. God is good and loving, and you demonstrated that so clearly in this movie. I will be purchasing it, and will recommend it to my clients. Praising God, and thanking you for your devotion in making the movie.

How can you get involved with being an actress for Christian movies?
